"Modi is the Prime Ministerial candidate of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and it is the bounden duty of the Union government to provide him the best available security," he told reporters here.
The Chief Minister said it was the responsibility of the Centre to make sure that stringent arrangement of security was provided to the Gujarat Chief Minister.
The Centre must show utmost concern in meeting all such requirements, he said.
Replying to a query, the Chief Minister alleged that a section of the state Congress leadership itself was keen on getting the party's Punjab chief Partap Singh Bajwa indicted in a land deal case.
He said his government had never believed in the politics of vendetta by targeting political rivals.
Badal said his government was committed to promoting trade and industry in the state.
