A total of 3.30 lakh students had appeared in the class 10 examination, of which 1.90 lakh students passed the exam while 45,734 students failed and 94,271 students got re-appear.
Chaudhary, while hailing the students, said, "Their strenuous efforts have borne fruit for which their parents as well as the teachers also deserve credit. I wish them well for their future endeavours."
She also thanked the board for its efforts to provide quality education and infrastructure to the students.
The supplementary exams of the students placed under compartment in 1 or 2 subjects will commence from June 24 and the results will be declared by July 31 in order to enable them to take admission in the next class or a new course, she said.
Earlier, the supplementary exams used to be conducted in August-September.
The minister further announced that the teachers taking extra classes of the students placed under compartment after school hours or during summer holidays, will be honoured.
