Air connectivity to Puducherry is being re-established with Alliance Air, a subsidiary of Air India, set to operate its services to Bengaluru from April 14.
Chief Minister N Rangasamy announced this after a team of Alliance Air officials held talks with him and Tourism Minister P Rajavelu.

It would leave Bengaluru at 3.45 pm and arrive at the airport here at 4.45 pm. In the return journey, the flight would leave at 5.05 pm and reach Bengaluru at 6.05 pm.
Details of the tariff and other aspects of the service were being worked out.
A technical team would be on a visit to the airport here in the next few days to work out all modalities including, the tariff structures, an official source told PTI.
The airport in this former French colony, which attracts a large number of tourists, was developed with huge investment and Spicejet had operated services to Bengaluru for nearly a year from 2013, but this was discontinued.
Now the airport is being reactivated with the introduction of the Alliance Air flight.
