Addressing a meeting of representatives from traders associations, entrepreneurs, agriculturists and fishermen here yesterday, Narayanasamy said the Government was hoping to attract investments on a large scale.
Stating that it was essential to set up industries in the union territory for large scale employment generation, the Chief Minister made it clear that the government would attract only those industries that would not harm the environment.
The Chief Minister pointed out that Puducherry had become an investor friendly destination and the government would extend all possible assistance to entrepreneurs.
He pointed out that flight services from Puducherry airport would resume on August 16.
