Puducherry student to be jury in Paris contest on birds

A class X student from a government school here has got the honour of being part of a childrens' jury in an international contest on birds to be held in Paris from May 7.
J Kausalya of Savarayulu Government Girls High School has been invited for the event based on a survey on different species of migratory and domestic birds conducted by a six-member team of students headed by her last year.
The avifauna contest was being held under the banner 'Faites De La Science' (Making of Science) by Paris University (South) France from May 7 to 14, school Headmistress Hemavathy told reporters here today.
More than 90 species of birds arriving at lakes here were surveyed under the project, which won a scholarship of 300 Euros, she said.
Kausalya would assess the works of various teams in the coming meet at Paris.
