Pul visits Banderdewa check post and police station

To boost the morale of police personnel working in hard conditions and to ensure measures for their welfaRe, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Kalikho Pul visited Banderdewa check post and police station on Sunday.
Pul said armed personnel deserve better welfare measures and directed the superintendent of police to submit a proposal for a new building with proper sanitation facilities for the armed personnel, an official communique informed here today.
The present building where they stay is in dilapidated condition.
He also announced providing fund for uniforms and said that it would be credited in their account, it said.
Pul was shown the seized arms, ammunitions and lethal weapons and he appreciated their efforts and asked them to intensify security checking.
He ordered strict checking of stolen vehicles and directed them to take stringent actions against the people found involved in it.

"All vehicles should be checked, even mine", the chief minister said and requested the personnel not to harass common people.
He said the register for recording entry and exit of vehicles should be properly maintained and issued immediate directives to the SP and the officer-in-charge to ensure that every vehicle entering into the state are properly checked and registered in the book.
Similar directions were also issued to all police stations and check posts.
The state government will come out with a mechanism to convert the check gates into common complexs of police, the communique added.
