Traders said the fall in select pulses prices was due to fall in demand at current levels against pick-up in supplies from growing regions.
In the national capital, urad and its dal chilka local plunged Rs 300 each to Rs 7,700-8,200 and Rs 8,600-8,800 per quintal, respectively. Its dal best quality and dhoya were down by a similar margin to Rs 8,800-9,400 and 9,200-9,500 per quintal, respectively.
Arhar and its dal dara variety followed suit and moved down Rs 300 each to Rs 7,000-7,050 and Rs 8,350-8,650 per quintal, respectively.
Masoor small and bold fell Rs 200 each to Rs 6,400-6,600 and Rs 6,400-6,700 per quintal. Its dal local and best quality rose by a similar margin to Rs 7,500-7,600 and Rs 7,600-7,700 per quintal.
