Pulwama residents protest student's death in Hyderabad

A complete strike is being observed in Pulwama town over the death of a student, from the south Kashmir district, in a university in Hyderabad, official sources said.
Shops and other business establishments remained closed, while public transport remained off the roads in the township against the death of Mudasir Kamran, who was pursuing Ph.D in English at English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad, they said.
Kamran (25) was found hanging from the ceiling of his hostel room last night. He was rushed to a nearby hospital by other students at the campus, but reportedly died on the way.
The sources said police is monitoring the situation closely.
