Pune: Three get police custody in building collapse case

A magistrate's court here today remanded three persons, arrested in connection with a building collapse here yesterday, in a police custody for six days.
Sinhgad police have registered a case against contractor Kailas Krishna Kank, builder Kishor Pitambar Vadgama and land owner Ranjit Sambhajirao Desai under section 304 (rash and negligent act causing death) and other relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.
They were produced before the judicial magistrate Sheetal Bangad here today who remanded them in police custody till November 6.
One person died when a five-storey building collapsed in Bhumkar Mala area in Ambegaon Narhe village near here yesterday.
Sandeep Mohite (29) died in the incident, after being trapped under the debris for about 12 hours.
