With a view to establishing the Haryana Real Estate Regulatory Authority for regulation and planned development of the real estate sector, the Department of Town and Country Planning has invited suggestions on a bill - 'Haryana Real Estate' (Regulation and Development Bill). The setting up of the Haryana Real Estate Regulatory Authority also aims at ensuring sale of immovable properties in an efficient and transparent manner and protect the interest of consumers in the real estate sector, a spokesman of the department said. LABOURER -------------------------- Rewari: A migrant labourer of Bihar was killed when earth caved in while he was engaged in digging as part of construction work at Dharuhera, 16-km from here. Shankar Yadav (25) was buried alive when a mound of earth caved in on him during the construction of a building, police said. ARREST -------------------------- Chandigarh: Police arrested a person and seized a stolen auto-rickshaw from his possession in Panchkula district. Asha Ram, a resident of Juggi Mouli here, was arrested for stealing the rickshaw of one Sonu from Yadwindera Garden Pinjore, a police spokesman said. DRIVING SCHOOL ------------------------------ Chandigarh: An ultramodern driving school set up over an area of 20 acres in Garhi Padla village of Kaithal district, costing Rs 15 crore, will be inaugurated soon. The driving school will be first such institution in the country where various kinds of ultramodern facilities will be available, Haryana Industries Minister Randeep Singh Surjewala said here. He said that the driving school is being set up by the state government in collaboration with Ashok Leyland Company. DAY ----------------------------------- Chandigarh: International Child Cancer Day was observed throughout Haryana with several programmes being organised in the state to make people aware about the disease. A painting competition was held at PGIMS, Rohtak for children suffering from cancer and those recovered from it with the help of a Canadian organisation and Rotary Club. Vice-Chancellor, PGIMS, Dr S S Sangwan said that with the medicines for treatment of cancer being very expensive, the voluntary organisations have a wide role to play as they give financial support to patients.
