The Punjab unit of Congress today flayed cabinet Minister Bikram Singh Majithia's statement that AAP government in Delhi is replicating policies of Akali Dal saying his claims were a "bundle of lies".
Majithia by claiming that the Aam Aadmi Party was copying the policies and programmes of Shiromani Akali Dal, has made a statement in stark contrast to the reality, Punjab Congress spokesman Sukhpal Singh Khaira said here.
Before comparing SAD with AAP, Majithia should introspect the "feudal, autocratic and dynastic character of his party," he added.
"The SAD has been a symbol of flamboyant VIP culture, centralised politics and authoritarian family rule," he said.
Yesterday, Majithia had said that AAP is following the policies of Akali Dal by slashing power tariffs and on other issues.
Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal may have launched the Atta-Dal scheme for the poor and initiated 'Sangat-Darshan' programme, but he never missed a chance to gain political mileage out of these schemes, Khaira said.
On the contrary, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has exhibited and implemented the slogan of "simple living and high thinking" in letter and spirit, he said.
