Punjab government has extended the deadline for regularisation of illegal colonies, residential plots and commercial buildings for three months and has said no further extension will be granted beyond this.
A decision to this effect was taken in a meeting headed by Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal, according to an official release.
After a detailed discussion on the demand from general public and response to the regularisation policy, Deputy Chief Minister decided to extend the last date for submission of applications under this policy from January 27 to April 27, it said.
It has been also decided in the meeting that neither any competent authority would accept any application after April 27 nor any extension in the last date for submission of applications would be granted by the government.
Badal also directed Director State Town and Country Planner to issue advisory for promoters, plot and building holders that they must avail this last opportunity by submitting applications to competent authorities for regularisation of their properties in next three months.
