Sangh chairman Krishnanand said that the representatives of 430 gaushalas (cow shelter houses) and cow lovers would gherao the residence of Badal for allegedly failing to take measures for protection of cows in the state.
Alleging that the promises made by Punjab CM in the past towards safeguarding and conserving the cattle have proven to be hollow, he said that in last three years none of the promises have been fulfilled.
The other demands include cattle pound for abandoned cows, cow memorial, stopping misuse of green fodder, setting up Gau Sewa Commission and getting cows registered.
Krishnanand also demanded rigorous imprisonment for those found involved in killing or smuggling cows.
According to him, there are around 90,000 abandoned cattle on Punjab's roads that need shelter.
Punjab Gaushala Mahasangh is the representative body of more than 400 Guashalas in the state of Punjab in India.
