Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal in a high-level meeting reviewed the progress of the ongoing projects.
Rs 322.39 crore were approved for sewerage system, water supply coverage, augmentation of series of sewerage treatment plant, cleaning of existing main sewer line with super suction machines.
There would be no compromise on the quality of execution of work and international infrastructure companies should be engaged in the projects, he said.
Approving the plan for upgradation of roads and transportation at a cost of Rs 1,352 crore, Sukhbir said that eight-laning of Ferozepur road from Sidhwan Canal to MC limit, development of missing links, construction of RUB near Lodhi Club and ROB in lieu of Lakkar Bazaar be put on fast track.

Expressing concern over pollution caused by Buddah Nullah, Sukhbir approved Rs 110 crore for rejuvenation.
He also released Rs 398.35 crore for upgradation of Hambra Road from Court Chowk to MC limit, remodelling of fountain chowk, upgradation of Pakhowal Road and construction of ROB on it, upgradation of Malhar Road, construction of Parking complex in Feroze Gandhi Market and Mata Rani Chowk.
It was decided that an MoU be signed with a Turkish Company which is managing cleanliness project in Lahore, for Ludhiana and Rs 71 crore was sanctioned for modernisation of slaughter house, development of dairy complex, mechanised sweeping and washing of important roads and integrated solid waste management plants.
