"We are hoping that we will implement 80-85 per cent of annual plan size this current fiscal," Dhindsa told reporters here in the post-Budget press meet.
The SAD-BJP led state government had faced criticism from several quarters, including opposition political parties, for not being able to spend 100 per cent of the annual plan because of state's weak fiscal situation.
Punjab FM today announced total plan outlay of Rs 20,100 crore for 2014-15, 25 per cent more than approved outlay of Rs 16,123 crore in 2013-14.
"We have implemented 73 per cent of last fiscal's annual plan," Dhindsa said.
In the past, Punjab government had achieved plan outlay of Rs 98 per cent in 2007-08, 111 per cent in 2008-09, 58 per cent in 2009-10, 91 per cent in 2010-11, 65 per cent in 2011-12 and 72 per cent in 2012-13.
