Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today announced this help when he visited the bereaved family of Capt Ashwani here to condole his death.
Mourning the demise of the 26-year-old officer, the Chief Minister said the state government would ever be at family's beck and call and leave no stone unturned to help them in this hour of grief.
He said that the countrymen would ever remain indebted to unparalleled sacrifice made by Capt Ashwani, who attained martyrdom while safeguarding the security and sovereignty of the country.
The Chief Minister assured the grieved family members that the state government was duty bound to help them in this hour of crisis and every step would be taken to extend a helping hand to the family.

Badal announced a financial help of Rs 10 lakh for the family and gave a cheque of Rs 5 lakh to the deceased soldier's father.
He also announced that state government would bear the entire expenditure of study of younger brother of the martyr.
Born on August 27, 1989, Captain Ashwani, a bachelor, completed his MBBS from Government Medical College, Patiala, and was commissioned into the Army on January 6, 2015.
