An official spokesperson said that directions have been issued to promptly reply to the complaints received from Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha Secretariat within a period of 15 days.
The spokesperson today said that Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha Secretariat seek actual reports on complaints/ Notices of question of privilege addressed by MPs, Speaker and Chairman against District Administration/Magistrates/ Collectors/Deputy Collectors.
He said that it has been noticed that the state take undue long time in replying to these complaints and often the state government refers the privilege notices to concerned officers/ functionaries.
The reports received from them were forwarded to the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha Secretariat without the comments of the state government, the spokesperson added.
