The minimum wages of unskilled worker would be Rs 5200 now. Semi skilled worker now get Rs 5980, skilled worker Rs 6877, highly skilled Rs 7909, staff category A Rs 10,370, staff category B Rs 8700, staff category C Rs 7200 and staff category D will get Rs 6000.
Earlier, minimum wages of unskilled worker was Rs 4568, semi-skilled worker Rs 4913, skilled worker Rs 5297 and highly skilled worker Rs 5743.
The minimum wages of staff categories from A to D shall be applicable only to scheduled employments under the Punjab Government, local authority and the Boards, corporations or any agency under the control of the state government in respect of the staff employed through outsourcing or employed. casually or on daily wages, it added.
