"This paramedical staff would be posted in various government hospitals, sub-divisional hospitals, community health centres, primary health centres and sub-centres across Punjab," Health and Family Welfare Minister Brahm Mohindra said here today.
He said the primary health services in the state were badly disturbed due to acute shortage of this medical and paramedical staff since last 10 years.
He said the government would not organise any state-level function to hand over the appointment letters, instead they would be sent at the postal address of the newly-recruited employees within a week with a copy to the concerned Civil Surgeon office.
Mohindra said the counselling process for the recruitment of staff nurses has already been completed whereas the counselling for the recruitment of multipurpose health workers will be started within two days and the intimation in this regard would also be updated on the official website for the convenience of the candidates.
