Punjab govt transfers 44 police officers

The Punjab government today transferred 44 IPS and PPS officers on the directions of the Election Commission.
An official spokesman said IPS officer Vivek Sheel Soni has been posted as SP (Headquarters), Kapurthala while Sandeep Kumar Garg has been given the charge of ADCP, Traffic, Ludhiana and Gaurav Garg has been posted as ADCP-3, Ludhiana.
Sandeep Kumar Sharma has been posted as DCP (Investigation), Jalandhar, and Amrik Singh Powar has been posted as SP (Headquarters), Hoshiarpur.
Joginder Singh has been posted as SP, Special Protection Unit (SPU), while Ratan Singh has been posted as ADCP, Industrial Security, Ludhiana and Sukhpal has been given the charge of AC 3rd, Indian Reserve Battalion (IRB), Ludhiana, the spokesman said.
Gurpreet Kaur Purewal has been posted as AC 3rd IRB, Ludhiana while Harjit Singh has been posted as ADCP (Crime), Jalandhar and Harpreet Singh Benipal has been posted as ADCP, Traffic, Jalandhar.
Paramjit Singh Goraya has been given the charge of ADCP-1, Ludhiana, Kuldeep Sharma has been posted as ADCP-2, Ludhiana while Jagmohan Singh has been posted as ADCP-2, Jalandhar, he said.
Among other officers who have been transferred are Gursharandeep Singh as ADCP-4, Ludhiana, Harvinder Singh as SP, Phagwara, Manohar Lal as AC, 7th Battalion, Punjab Armed Police (PAP), Jalandhar, and Narendra Kumar as AC, 75th Battalion, PAP, Jalandhar, the spokesman added.
