Punjab govt waives off interest and penalty on bills

In a relief to the urban population, the Punjab Government today waived off the interest money and other penalties imposed on the outstanding bills of house tax, water and sewerage.
To avail this benefit the consumers have to deposit the actual bills upto May 31, an official spokesman said here.
The state government has decided to write off all the interest money on all the outstanding bills which have not yet paid, he said.
