Amid cloudy and muggy conditions, Union Territory Chandigarh recorded the maximum temperature at 33.2 deg C, a degree above normal, a MeT Department report said.
In Haryana, Ambala had a high of 33.7 deg C, while maximum temperatures in Bhiwani, Narnaul and Hisar settled at 34.8 deg C, 32 deg C and 35.2 deg C, respectively.
Karnal recorded the maximum at 34.6 deg C, three notches above the normal.
In Punjab, Amritsar recorded maximum temperature of 32.5 deg C, while the maximum temperatures in Ludhiana and Patiala settled at 33 deg C and 33.4 deg C, respectively. Amritsar received 23 mm rainfall.
