According to MeT office, Hisar today recorded its maximum at 43.2 degrees C, one degree above normal.
Among other places in the state, Ambala and Narnaul braved hot weather at 40.6 degrees C and 41 degrees C respectively.
In Punjab, Amritsar's maximum was at 41.7 degrees C while Ludhiana and Patiala recorded their maximums at 40.8 degrees C each.
Union Territory Chandigarh recorded its high at 40 degrees C, up by a degree above normal.
