Ludhiana had a rainfall of 22.8 mm as mercury settled at 30.5 deg C down by 3 degrees. Patiala and Amritsar had a high of 36.2 deg C and 30.5 deg C.
In Haryana, Ambala recorded 28.8 deg C, 4 degrees below normal. Bhiwani, Hisar, Karnal and Narnaul had a high of 33 deg C, 36 deg C, 30.2 deg C and 33 deg C respectively.
Moderate to heavy rains are expected to occur at many places in the two states in next two days, Met office said.
