Punjab levies 3% fee on basmati

Punjab government today said it has levied 3 per cent infrastructure development fees on purchase of basmati in the state.
The decision has been to "quicken" the pace of infra development in the state, said an official spokesperson.
A notification dated November 10, has been issued in this regard, informed Assistant General Manager, Punjab Infrastructure Development Board.
