Punjab Marshalls beat Mumbai Tennis Masters in CTL opener

Punjab Marshalls defeated hosts Mumbai Tennis Masters by a 21-19 margin in the opening match of the Champions Tennis League 2015 at the MSLTA Ground here.
The contest started with the legends singles where Mumbai captain Richard Krajicek beat his Punjab counterpart Greg Rusedski 5-4 last night.
In the women's singles, Flavia Pennetta got the better of Elina Svitolina 5-2 to enhance Mumbai's lead.
But therafter, Punjab Masrshalls made a terrific fightback, winning the next three contests to register the win.
Punjab's turnaround started with the mixed doubles event where the pair of Marcos Baghdatis and Elina Svitolina defeated Santiago Giraldo and Flavia Pennetta 5-2

Then Baghdatis combined with Saketh Myneni to beat Santiago Giraldo and Sriram Balaji 5-3 before Baghdatis ekede out a close 5-4 win over Giraldo to ensure a winning start for Punjab Marshalls in the tournament.
