Recalling the fight fought by Indians for the country's freedom, Joshi said that we have been enjoying the fruit of Independence just because of sacrifices made by our great martyrs.
He said that the sacrifices made by them would continue to inspire generations to come.
While hoisting the tricolour, Joshi, accompanied by Chief Parliamentary Secretary Navjot Kaur Sidhu, said that it was a proud moment for all since it was the tallest flag so far in the state.
Joshi said that the flag could be seen from a distance of 16 km in clear weather.
