The last date for making nominations would be May 24 and the date for the scrutiny of nominations has been fixed for May 26, an EC spokesperson said.
The last date for withdrawal of candidatures would be May 28.
Counting of votes would take place on June 10 and results will be announced on June 13, he said.
Bye-elections will be held in 24 wards of committees that have fallen vacant due to various reasons.
As the next session of the Punjab Assembly is scheduled for mid-June the state government had recommended that the election process should be completed before the session.
