Bathinda zone IGP Paramraj Singh Umranangal said a special drive was launched in Moga, Ferozepur, Fazilka, Faridkot, Muktsar, Bathinda and Mansa from where 191 drug peddlers were arrested by police.
As many as 183 cases were registered against the accused. Police department also expelled one constable following seizure of drug from his possession, he said.
Police seized 0.50 grams heroin, 0.50 grams Smack, 3.75 kg of contraband opium, 412 kg of poppy husk, 14,586 drug tablets, and 2.47 grams intoxicant powder during the raids.
