The Punjab Government has decided to rationalize 818 government primary and upper primary schools in different blocks of the state for effective management and smooth functioning, Education Minister Sikander Singh Maluka said today.
He said some of the blocks have primary and upper primary schools in large numbers, whereas some of the blocks have comparatively less number of schools, which results in uneven distribution of work load on the teachers.
He said during review, many shortcomings have been noticed in the management of primary and upper primary schools in the state.
