A decision to this effect was taken by Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal during a meeting with Infosys Executive Chairman N R Narayana Murthy here, official sources said today.
During the discussion yesterday Badal sought Murthy's valuable advice on imparting effective skill training to Punjabi youth.
Murthy suggested him to send a team of officers to Bangalore where they could interact with experts of the company to find a workable strategy in this regard.
He thanked the Chairman Infosys for establishing a state-of-the-art campus over 50 acres at IT City Mohali and said it would prove to be an asset for establishing a new horizon in the IT sector.
Expressing concern over the present situation of rural youth in the state, Badal said despite being known for their hard work and sincerity, Punjabi youth today was suffering due to the changed scenario and it was the need of the hour to impart skill training to them for their survival.
