Punjabi singer-actor-turned-politician Jassi Jasraj has been fielded from Sangrur parliamentary seat by the Punjab Democratic Alliance (PDA) on Saturday, said Lok Insaaf Party (LIP) chief Simarjeet Singh Bains whose outfit is a part of the tie-up.

Jasraj, whose full name is Jasraj Singh Longia, has joined the LIP. In 2014, he had unsuccessfully contested from Bathinda seat on AAP ticket.

Apart from the LIP, the other constituents of the PDA are the Sukhpal Singh Khaira-led Punjab Ekta Party, the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), the Nawan Punjab party of suspended AAP MP Dharamvira Gandhi, the CPI and the Revolutionary Marxist Party of India (RMPI).
