The two companies have joined hands with International Recreation Parks Pvt Ltd (IRPPL), a joint venture between Unitech and International Amusement Ltd for the purpose.
PVR and KidZania have taken 1,50,000 sq ft of space on rentals in the shopping mall developed by IRPPL. Leasing deal was handled by property consultant CBRE.
Commenting on the development, PVR Ltd Group President Pramod Arora said: "PVR is coming up with the most advanced format of cinematic viewing-the 'superplex', a 15-screen multiplex-at the Entertainment City in Noida."
Unitech Head (Retail) Munish Baldev said: "The tie-ups with KidZania and PVR are yet more endeavours by the company to bring in the best-in-class global and domestic brands in the retail and leisure segment into the country."
The 147-acre entertainment development houses Go-Karting track, trackless train transport system, and international rides adhering to the highest safety standards, along with the soon-to-be-launched premium shopping mall, Gardens Galleria, Noida, with parking facility for 11,800 cars.
Commenting on the transaction, CBRE South Asia Chairman & MD Anshuman Magazine said: "We believe the transactions will pave the way for more such large entertainment spaces in key cities, raising the profile of the entertainment and leisure sector, which continues to attract substantial demand from consumers in India.
