Haryana Transport minister Krishan Lal Panwar today directed officers to ensure that private buses plied on their scheduled routes.
Assuring strict action against those who do not comply with the orders, Panwar said complaints were received that most of the private buses were flouting the rules.
Panwar was speaking after meeting officers of the regulatory wing of the department here.
The Regional Transport Authority (RTA) concerned should tell the permit holders about the consequences and file challan in case of non-compliance, he said.
He also directed the officers to inspect school buses at least once a month and take action against bus owners or drivers if they are found negligent.
The minister directed the officers to clear all pending cases of license suspensions before June 25.
The RTA officers were told to be present during the checking of overloaded vehicles drive.
