A case has been registered in this regard after Aditya Birla Finance Ltd filed a complaint alleging that some people are sending fictitious call letters to job seekers and taking money from them.

According to the complaint filed by the company, one Hiral Joshi had received a call letter for appointment in the company but it was fake as it did not issue any such letter.

The call letter was issued in the name of S K Mitra, whose designation was given as Assistant Manager, from its office based in west Delhi's Janakpuri, the complaint said.

The company denied having any office there or having S K Mitra as its assistant manager.

"S K Mitra is name of one former Managing Director of Birla Global Finance Limited and his name is also being misused for the purpose of defrauding innocent applicants," it said.

The complaint said that the initial letter sent through email directs the applicant to deposit Rs 9,400 as refundable security in a bank account.

"It is promised that once security amount is deposited and confirmation of the same is sent, a call letter and air tickets will be dispatched to the applicant. It appears that this is an act of bogus entity," it said.

The tricksters are also promising salaries ranging from Rs 27,000 to Rs 1.56 lakh per month, the complaint said.

Earlier in November last year also, the complaint said, it had approached Delhi Police regarding similar cases.
