Speaking at the valedictory programme of the Training for Private Security Licensees in the police headquarters here, Sharma said security agencies are an extension of the police services and are helpful for the department in sharing information.
The DGP said the training received by the licensees should be extended to their staff and agencies have to ensure identity of the staff recruited, antecedents and basic training, an official release said.
He also said that basic training will be given to the staff to create awareness on their job profile, important security issues, problems faced by the society, etc.
The top cop also suggested that the agencies should use technology depending on their client's affordability, which will enhance security arrangements.

Principal Secretary (Home Department) Rajiv Trivedi said the Integrated Intelligence Training Academy at Moinabad here has been strengthened and the training facilities are improved.
He said that briefing the staff of the agencies everyday for a few minutes will have a great impact on their job.
He said the licensing procedure will be standardised soon, as per the release.
