PricewaterhouseCoopers today said it has launched its educational business firm PwC Academy in India, which offers a variety of training courses based on the best practices of the consultant's global network of firms.
The programmes will initially be launched in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru, and will cover additional cities in near future.
The academy will focus on courses for professionals and students in the areas of finance and accounting.
This will help organisations in meeting the challenges resulting from rapidly changing regulatory and financial reporting landscape of corporate India, a company release said.
"The recent adoption of substantially converged global IFRS standards in India, i.E. Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) is a significant change. Therefore, we decided to start with offering related courses.
"Over the next couple of years, we aim to diversify the course offerings to include other areas of business," PwC India Partner & Leader - Markets Sanjay Tolia said.
