PCB Sources confirmed that Qadir had been sent a notice while the tournament was still on.
"I was surprised by the notice because before accepting the offer to sit as an expert on the channel, I had sought permission from the board and also informed them," Qadir said.
"The board sent me the notice while I was in Karachi," he added.
Sources said Qadir, who is presently working as bowling coach at the National Cricket Academy, was unhappy at the notice since the Board had allowed Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq and senior batsman Younis Khan to sit as experts on different channels.
"He feels that when the team performed badly and no one could avoid making some critical comments. These should be taken in a positive manner instead of making a fuss about it," the source said.
Interestingly, during the tournament, Misbah and Younis also made some critical comments about the team's performance.
Qadir also had problems with the PCB recently when he refused to accept a short-term coaching contract insisting on the one that allowed him to work until the next World Cup.
