The carrier's state-of-the-art contact centre, which serves more than 1,000 customers daily, will now be equipped to issue tickets and process secure payments through credit and debit cards thanks to an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system put in place, Qatar Airlines said in a release here.
The IVR system can be accessed by calling the contact centre, where passengers will be presented with the option of choosing standard or automated IVR processing, depending on their preference and convenience, it said.
"We understand that travel is no longer just about connectivity but about providing a unique travel experience. This new service offers greater flexibility for passengers through a safe, secure, convenient and efficient IVR payment feature designed for customer convenience and comfort," Qatar Airways Country Manager for India Henry Moses said.
Passengers can also book tickets on the Qatar national carrier's website and choose the option of payment by calling the contact centre equipped to handle queries in nearly a dozen languages, the release said.
