"Susan Chatterjee was produced before a special court which extended her police custody till September 22," said Additional Police Commissioner (EOW) Rajvardhan Sinha.
The investigators sought her extension in police custody as they want to find out complete details of her income since she enrolled in the company and the investments she made using the ill-gotten money, another officer said adding that, "the court accordingly extended her police custody."
Chatterjee, who was arrested on Friday, was produced before a court today as her police custody ended today. She was on the EOW scanner since the last few months after the role of Michael Ferreira was disclosed in investigations.
The investigators will question Chatterjee to precisely understand the functioning of the controversial Hong Kong- based multi-level marketing company and glean information related to the QNet database among others.
The EOW had earlier arrested nine team leaders of QNET for allegedly duping investors by offering to sell products like magnetic disks, herbal products and holiday schemes through fraudulent practices. However, they were released on bail.
