Ishaq Ansari, 40, was nabbed yesterday when he was trying to flee from his home after Rishu died allegedly due to expired medicines and injection given to him by the quack, they said.
Runjay Singh, the victim's father, stated in his complaint that he had taken Rishu to Ansari's clinic three days ago where the quack, who is only a Class XII passout, gave expired medicines and an injection to his child, they said.
The child collapsed, following which his father rushed him to a hospital where he was declared brought dead.
When the father went back to the quack's clinic, he found that Ansari had fled from there and also removed the clinic's board from the premises, they said. The child's father then lodged a case at a police station.
During interrogation, Ansari said he had been practising in Delhi for 18 years as a Registered Medical Practitioner, the certificate for which he had procured from Patna.
