Education Minister Bratya Basu ordered an administrative enquiry to ascertain why the question papers reached late in various SSC examination centres.
Basu admitted that he received such complaints from three centres.
He said there would be re-examination in at least four centres as examinees failed to take the test due to chaos there following various irregularities.
Basu said he had talked to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on the issue.
SSC Chairman Chittaranjan Mondal said there would be re-examination zone-wise, but the minister said there would be no zone-wise re-examination.
Mondal said it was conspiracy to disrupt the recruitment process in schools by the state government.
The SSC has organised the examination to appoint teachers in secondary and higher-secondary schools.
