In reply to a question, Revenue and irrigation minister Yashpal Arya said there is already a provision under various acts through which the landless people can get land on lease.
However, he could not elaborate the provision or the Acts prompting the opposition BJP members to demand the Speaker to suspend the question. Later, the Speaker suspended the question and asked the minister to prepare the reply of the question.
To another question raised by BJP member Bishan Singh Chufal, Arya failed to tell the house as to how many highdrum irrigation schemes are closed in the state. This question was also suspended by the Speaker after the opposition BJP members made a demand in this regard.
