Quikr ties up with Carnation for used car inspection report

Online classified company Quikr today announced its tie up with automobile sales and service provider Carnation Auto to offer inspection reports of used cars sold on its website.
Under the partnership, Carnation will offer car inspection services, the report for which will be made available for Quikr users.
"Available on request, the car inspection report will detail the condition of the vehicles which will help sellers get the right value and faster sale of their cars while buyers can benefit by understanding the quality of the car and discovering any hidden issues," the two companies said in a joint statement.
Currently the service is available free for Quikr users in the National Capital Region and will be rolled out across the top 15 to 20 cities across India in the coming months, it added.
Commenting on the tie-up Carnation Auto Chairman and MD Jagdish Khattar said: "Quikr is a market leading brand in the used cars market and is rapidly growing this category. Our aim is to offer credible car inspection services that demonstrate to buyers and sellers the benefits of a comprehensive independent quality report."
Quikr Founder & CEO Pranay Chulet said the tie-up would help in making transaction process easy, convenient and quick.
"Our alliance with Carnation is another value added offering which we believe will benefit both buyers and sellers," he added.
Started in 2008, Quikr is one of India's largest oline classified company with presence in more than 1000 cities acroos the country. It operates in more than 13 categories and in 170 sub-categories that include mobile phones, household goods, cars, real estate, jobs, services and education.
Carnation Auto, founded by Khattar, a former MD of Maruti Suzuki, is a leading independent automobile sales and service network.
