Jones, 82, was immediately taken to local medical facility from his Bel-Air home by ambulance, reported TMZ.
"Quincy is fine. He had some shortness of breath and in an abundance of caution he went in for observation. He is fine though," his representative said.
A Los Angeles fire department spokeswoman confirmed an ambulance was called to the address.
"At 1.20 pm we received a call for unspecified medical aid," she said.
