"At a three-day workshop on data analysis, the CEC emphasized the need for strengthening the statistical wing of the Commission," an Election Commission release said here.
Quraishi said well equipped statistical and data analysis wing is needed in each of the States and Union Territories.
The Commission will organise training of its officers at all levels with the help of Berkeley University to provide an opportunity to all election officers to learn statistical tools.
