Qureshi muslims offer prayers with black bands

Qureshi muslims in the Raya locality of the district offered the Eid-ul-Zuha prayers by wearing black bands on their hands in protest against the imposition of restrictions by the police on the community.
Kayum Qureshi, the community leader, said restrictions were imposed on them under IPC Section 107/116 in the garb of ensuring peace.
On the other hand police said that the restrictions were imposed in view of the past incidents of tension between the Qureshi and Pathan communities of the locality.
