Governor Acharya Devvrat unfurled the tricolor at the historic Ridge Ground here at a state-level function and took the salute of contingents of the Indian Army, Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), SSB and state police.
Capt. Deepak Math Pal from 22 Rajput Rifles commanded the parade.
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, Education minister Suresh Bharadwaj, legislators and officials attended the event in the state capital.
Colourful tableaux highlighted various development activities while a weapon display show was performed by the ITBP.

Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Virender Kanwar at Nahan said that homless in the state would be provided houses by 2022, while Industries and Labour and Employment Minister Bikram Singh and Forest and Transport Minister Govind Singh, unfurled the tricolour in Solan and in Bilaspur, respectively.
