Vishakha, who took charge today, has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry including that of working with life and non-life insurers, the company said in a statement.
Before this she held the post of chief business officer at IndiaFirst Life.
IndiaFirst, the youngest life insurer in the country, is a joint venture of Bank of Baroda, Andhra Bank and Legal & General of Britain.
Bank of Baroda holds a 44 percent stake in the JV while Andhra Bank and Legal & General hold 30 percent and 26 percent, respectively.
