Liquor firm Radico Khaitan's standalone net profit more than doubled to Rs 34.18 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2018 on account of higher income.
The company had reported a net profit of Rs 16.63 crore during the corresponding quarter of 2016-17.
Total income stood at Rs 1,672.3 crore. It was at Rs 1,215.24 crore in the year-ago period, Radico Khaitan said in a BSE filing.
The company said revenue from operations for periods up to June 30, 2017 includes excise duty, which is discontinued on few items effective July 1, 2017 upon implementation of GST.
"In view of the aforesaid restructuring of indirect taxes, revenue from operations for the quarter/year ended March 31, 2018 is not comparable with previous periods," the company added.
For the entire year, the company reported a net profit of Rs 123.45 crore compared to Rs 80.06 crore in 2016-17.

Total income in 2017-18 was at Rs 6,297.03 crore as against Rs 4,887.60 crore a year ago.
The Board of Directors has recommended dividend of Rs 1 per equity share.
Shares of Radico Khaitan were trading 5.19 per cent lower at Rs 402 apiece on BSE.
